CAZ Investments Partners With SoFi to Widen Retail Access to Private Markets
The Houston-based alternative investment firm says 2025 regulatory changes have allowed it to expand access to virtually all investors through digital platforms.
CAZ Investments, a Houston-based alternative investment firm, has announced that investors using the SoFi Invest platform can now invest in two CAZ funds, providing what the firm describes as streamlined, cost-efficient access to diversified private-market assets. The collaboration extends CAZ's stated mission of broadening access to investment opportunities historically available primarily to institutions and ultra-high-net-worth investors, allowing individual do-it-yourself investors to incorporate professionally managed private-market strategies through a digital platform.
Regulatory changes cited as enabler
Christopher Zook, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of CAZ Investments, said: "For decades, many of the most compelling private-market opportunities were available only to a relatively small category of high-net-worth investors. The regulatory changes in 2025 have allowed us to expand access to virtually all investors. By working with SoFi Invest, we are helping more investors participate in the long-term growth potential of private markets with the simplicity and convenience they expect from a modern investment platform."
Themes spanning GP stakes to sports and energy
The CAZ funds available through SoFi Invest provide exposure to ownership interests in alternative asset management firms through GP stakes, professional sports franchises, infrastructure and energy assets serving artificial intelligence and rising electricity demand, and the modernisation of the space and defence industries. Zook added: "When access to private markets is broadened thoughtfully and responsibly, more investors have the opportunity to build diversified portfolios designed for long-term wealth creation." Founded in 2001, CAZ Investments has more than $11 billion in assets deployed and has created more than 100 private and registered funds, with a global network of over 9,100 investors including more than 500 wealth management firms, investment advisers, family offices and institutional investors.
